Breakfast of Champions?
Olympian Michael Phelps Flakes Out with Paid Endorsement of Frosted Flakes Cereal This news really made me sad. Just yesterday I was telling a friend how I thought Michael Phelps was a good kid and I thought he would do well with his newly gained status in the world. He still is a good kid, just too young to be thrown into this whirlwind of instant fame. He should have taken some time out and thought about what kind of impact he wants to make in the world and especially his impact on America’s children. Kelloggs Frosted Flakes is the last thing an Olympic athlete should be promoting. It’s loaded with sugar, genetically modified ingredients and has no nutritional value whatsoever. It’s not something anyone should be putting in their body much less children. Kids look up to him and he should not take that lightly. Unfortunately money talks and health seems to take a backseat. Just because someone famous including athletes endorses a product doesn’t make it a product you should run out and buy. Just my two cents.
